専門家グループは書類について、南米のハッカーが以前明らかになったネバダ州にある米軍基地の軍人の脆弱性を利用して盗んだと考えている。
これは機密情報ではなかったが、それを利用して無人機の弱点を特定することが可能。
「ダークネット」は、特別なウェブブラウザでのみアクセス可能なインターネットセグメント。「ダークネット」を使って匿名で買い物ができることから、禁止薬物や武器の密売者、偽造通貨の流通業者の間で人気となった。
