デンバー警察がツイッターに投稿した声明によると、美術館付近で行われていたデモ中に銃撃が起きた。少なくとも1人が負傷した。負傷者は病院に搬送されたが、その後死亡が確認された。同市警察は容疑者1人を拘束したという。
警察は事件の捜査を行っている。
